The Library will offer an “Introduction to Finding Grants” class on Wednesday, November 4 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in the Crawford Room. The class will begin with a live webinar from the Foundation Center. Topics include who funds nonprofits and their motivations, what do funders really want to know about the organizations they are interested in funding, and how do you identify potential funders and make the first approach. Following the webinar, Library staff will provide an introduction to the Foundation Directory Online, a comprehensive subscription databases of foundations and grants available at the Library. You will learn how to create customized searches to develop lists of prospective donors that will match your organization’s funding needs. The class is free and open to the public.
